The winners from the yearly Hungarian Tanchaz festival,
showcasing some of the best folk music from East Europe.
The range of Balkan music is wide, including Greek folk music performed by
Falkafolk, Bulgarian by Vandor Vokal, Macedonian by Rece-Fice, Slovakian
by Ludas and much much more vesides. In ttal almost 78 minutes worth of
Balkan folk music.
This yearly event compiles recordings of the best from the
Tanchaztalalakozo festival held in Hungary. It is a great introduction to
some bands who you would normally never hear.
As well as some old favourites such as Duvo, Meta, Csik etc, there are
other ensembles and soloists recorded here that we don't usually get to
hear - all of them excellent in what they do.
All the Tanchaz festival CD compilations are a great window on what is
happening folk and dance music wise in Eastern Europe.
