Volume 15 of 'Living Village Music Series' from The Dance House Guild, Hungary.

This excellent series features folk music from eastern Europe (mainly Hungary), this being the 14th volume so far. The earlier volumes feature some well known ensembles whereas the later volumes feature lesser known names.

East European and Balkan Folk music played on hurdy-gurdy, violin, cimbalom, flute, accordion etc.

Folk music from various regions of Hungary, Romania, Transylvania, Moldavia etc.. Authentic folk dance house (tanchaz) music.

"Fifteen years ago there were an LP series called Living Folk Music. In 1997 the Folk Yard Creative Society started series called New Living Folk music as a prolongation of the original work. In this series you can hear a „native” musicians playing what they have heard from their parents as well as city inhabitants loving folk music. Through the music of different regions and styles you can feel the personality of the musicians and the collective treasure of the Carpathian basin."
