Follow up to the successful 'Mitsoura' album.
Hungary based Mitsoura was formed by Mitsou
and other members from
the gypsy band Ando Drom. Mitsou also is a member of the Global
Vocal Meeting project.
From record label:
"Mitsou – with her unique voice – must be mentioned amongst the most talented Gypsy artists worldwide. She has already given her voice to motion pictures like
Tony Gatlif’s Gadjo Dilo and Swing. She was also one of the members of Global Vocal Meeting project, which toured all over the world. Audiences have heard her first as the vocalist of
Ando Drom.
In 1999 Mitsou decided to find her on way. In her new group she is surrounded by brilliant musicians who transform
Mitsou’s songs into an exciting, unique genre using their sensibility towards traditional music. The
Mitsoura project contains a mixture of Gypsy roots and the effects of the present world.
Mitsou’s voice is unbelievably powerful, the songs include Gypsy and ancient Indian themes along with traditional songs collected by
Károly Bari. Their music is based on ethnic instruments and melodies arranged by
András Monori with a counterpoint of „factory noise feeling” by
Márk Moldvai."
