'Authentic gipsy music from Hungary.'
'With their second album, the Szilvasi Gypsy Band continues to enrich
their style. Their music is lively and rousing, and from a folklore point of
view - party music. As well as singing in both Gypsy and Hungarian language,
the songs are accompanied by clarinet, tambourine, guitar, violin, cello and
jug, the sounds of which remind us of the traditional Gipsy bands.'
Finding new influences from other gypsy cultures, such as those from Russia,
France, Spain as well as the Balkans, the Szilvási Gipsy Folk
Band have created new possibilities in their arrangements of Hungarian
Gypsy folk songs.
