In the past decade at the music school in Subotica,
Yugoslavia (the centre of
Vojvodina – Serbian territory) such gifted talents as violinists Félix Lajkó and Szilárd
Mezei, have completed their studies. In this same environment the band Paniks
have evolved. Their energy and facility to improvise grabs your attention,
they are part of a new breed of Balkan folk musicians. Nothing is sacred
and their influences are many.
