'The Bulgarian group was established in 1990 by Nikolay Ivanov musician and painter as a segment of his performance-art. In the meantime the band came to an independent existence. Its multicultural style can not be identified under only one genre. Jazz, ethno, ambient, new age, minimal and folk elements are mixed with a kind of spiritual music. Many exotic instruments like tabla, tupan, djembe, tarambuka, kaval, cuena, kuika, berimbao, didgeridoo are played in this album which is their seventh.'

'We go back where we've come from, because this is a new beginning, a new renaissance. The world is an accomplished entity today and we all people are together in the enormous caldron of cultures and languages, nationalities and ethnic groups. Living on the crossroad between the East and West on a peninsula named after the proto-Bulgarians (BAL means great Kan means king) we search for ourselves. As inheritors of one of the most ancient people in the world we look constantly back into the lost and complex links.'

In 1993 the group had concerts in France, Hungary - Media Wave Festival and Budapest. In 1994 they took part in Expanzio Festival at Vac, Hungary.
