"When listening to the CD by Hradistan you will realize how it is important to sing and not only to listen
passively, how it is good to remember the songs, in which the life of our ancestors is hidden and how it is
good that the new songs occur but also how it is important to quieten and perceive the seeming
commonplace of the cycle of seasons of the year and its connection with the cycle of human life. On the CD for
children, who can float on the wooden horse and wings of their imagination and at the same moment, already
tired, fall asleep by righteous dream, to whom the playfulness in the safest possible world at mom and daddy
gives so much happiness and love, Jiri Pavlica musicalized poems and rhymes from the book by Jirina
Rakosnikova "Hrajeme si u maminky" (We Play at Mom) with enchanting illustrations by
Jan Kudlacek, which was published at publishing house Vysehrad. Illustrations are also in nice digipack and in CD booklet. Cimbalo
band Hradistan belongs to the oldest and most famous Moravian cimbalo bands. It was formed in 1950 in
Uherske Hradiste. Since 1978 the first violinist and artistic head of Hradistan has been Jiri
Pavlica, who deepened the creative work with folklore even more. Today
Hradistan is the unique musical ensemble with the unusually wide genre scope and untraditional repertory."

The violin, dulcimer and harmony vocals are the most important ingredients of their music, although you can also hear an occasional crumhorn, hurdy gurdy or other instruments.
