record this lavish 2 x CD set. Claimed as a timeless and essential piece
of alternative Czech contemporary music, Bittová uses vocal and
musical styles derived from various Eastern European cultures.
"IVA BITTOVÁ - violinist, singer and composer, who recognises no boundaries in music, is one of the most significant and original personalities of contemporary Czech music. Her musical projects are events not only on the Czech scene, but world-wide. Foremost of Czech artists she has won recognition on a world-wide scale (she has staged successful concerts all over Europe, the United States and Japan. Her records arouse interest internationally).
Vladimír Václavek was born 1959 in Rýmařov, North Bohemia and is one of the most significant personalities of "alternative music background in
Brno". In addition to collaborating with Iva Bittová, Václavek has worked with Pavel Fajt and Josef Ostřanský who he joined in the band Dunaj. As well as solo projects he has also played with the bands E, Domácí lékař and the acclaimed band
Rale.
